Success Story - How DallasMeetup Moved My Business Forward

As many of you know, I’m one of the Executive Organizers of DallasMeetup, and I’ve been fortunate to be part of this journey since day one. Watching this community grow has been nothing short of amazing. I’m deeply thankful for my fellow Organizers, our Featured Networkers, and every attendee who has shown up and believed in this vision.

I recently experienced just how powerful this community is, both through the amazing people I’ve met and the ways it’s helped move my business forward.

As an introvert, traditional networking has always felt a bit overwhelming. Large crowds tend to drain my energy, so I had to find a way to network that felt more aligned with me.

Here’s the approach I created:

1. Revisited my target audience: CEOs and Founders of small businesses, startups, and nonprofits generating $2M or less in revenue.

2. I reviewed the list of attendees on the LinkedIn event page and connected with my target audience.

3. I made sure to either meet them at the event or follow up shortly after.

And guess what? It worked.

Through this flow, I reconnected with Andrew Sosa, Founder of Commix.io, a culture intelligence copilot, often called Mira, for forward-thinking organizations.

Mira unifies operational data, surfaces insights, and recommends actionable steps. Most leaders are overwhelmed by scattered dashboards or piled up in ad-hoc meetings. Mira changes that. 

Funny enough, we originally met years ago at a friend’s birthday party, but never had the chance to really talk shop. Thanks to DallasMeetup, we got that second chance.
